How does leave approval work?

With TimeDive, you can setup 2 types of approvals for your team

1) Approved by manager

2) Auto-approved

You can enable/disable the setting under the "leave types" tab in the leave section.

If you want to auto-approve the leave like sick, please disable the setting "Approval required".

In such cases, the leave will be auto-approved and manager will receive an email notification about it.

If the setting is enabled, here's the workflow: Approved by manager

When an employee submits leave request, their manager will receive a notification on email and dashboard with the details like

  • Employee name

  • Leave type

  • Date

  • Duration - single/multi day, first/second half, or hourly

  • Note from employee (if any)

Leave request on dashboard - Head to the "Overview" tab under the Leave section.

Click on "View" and you'll find the leave details.

You can add your comment (which will be visible to employee) and approve/decline the request with a single click.

You can view all the leaves that are approved and rejected by you under the Approval History tab.
