How to configure project, tasks, and clients?

Adding boards, projects, clients and tasks for that employee can record hours mapped to these events

Let's dive into what these 4 elements mean: Boards, Projects, Tasks and Clients and understand how does project management work in TimeDive.

  1. Board:

    Organise multiple projects specific to different departments, offices etc.

    You can assign it to specific employees and the board and projects created in them will be visible to them only.

    • To create the board, please click on "Add board" and add the name.

    • If you wish to make the board visible to specific employees, add their names from the dropdown menu.

  2. Projects:

    Once you create a board, please create different lists/stages for each projects.

    • To create the project, click on "Add project"

    • Select all the relevant info like name, description, priority, due date, employees assigned, client (you can either select it from the dropdown menu or create new by clicking on manage).

    • Add the tasks associated to each project

    The project and the tasks are now created. You can move project cards cross different list to track the progress

    The total number of tasks mapped to each project will be visible on the card

  3. Clients:

    • Add name, rate (will help you track client billable) and currency and click on "create". The new client will be added to the dashboard.
